Quiz night at Anwest lifestyle PCWA Showjumping State Championships 2026

21/05/2026

You could hear the laughter and chatter from across the car park at the SEC when we held the recent Pony Club WA Quiz Night. New friends were made as teams were quickly formed as the numbers swelled. We had 11 teams playing, some with 5 members so over 45 participants in all. This fun event tested all those hours spend in horsemastership and we think some were surprised at what they knew. This fun was had while also raising valuable funds for the important work of Dolly’s Dream.

Teams put their knowledge to the test across a variety of quiz categories, creating a lively atmosphere and plenty of memorable moments throughout the evening. Sally set up an amazing maze of quiz questions and had tables of objects to guess and a bridle to put together.

The event was proudly organised and run by Sally Davis and Jacqui Van Rensberg from the Pony Club WA State Coaching Panel, whose hard work and enthusiasm helped make the night such a success. Their efforts in bringing the Pony Club community together for such a worthwhile cause were greatly appreciated by everyone involved. Being Volunteer Week this week, it is fitting that we cheer these two amazing women on and thank them for their tireless work at Pony Club WA.

Funds raised during the evening will support the work of Dolly’s Dream, an organisation dedicated to changing the culture of bullying through education, awareness and support for young people and families across Australia. Established in memory of Amy “Dolly” Everett, the organisation provides anti-bullying programs, resources and support services aimed at creating kinder and safer communities.

In addition to the quiz itself, raffles, games and donations throughout the night helped boost fundraising efforts and added to the excitement and atmosphere of the event. One of the highlights was seeing members from different clubs come together away from competition arenas to simply enjoy each other’s company and support an important cause.

Pony Club WA would like to sincerely thank everyone who attended and volunteered their time and contributed to making the evening such a positive and successful event. The generosity and support shown throughout the night demonstrated the incredible strength of the Pony Club community and its commitment to supporting young people both in and out of the saddle.

We can’t wait for the next one.
